SPACED OUT

Scott Kelly is an astronaut that spent the year 2015 to 2016 in the International Space Station. After his return to earth he submitted to testing that would measure the impact on the human body of being outside of the earth’s atmosphere. The scientist found his DNA and gene expression changed. In the Bible, one of the names that express God’s nature is Jireh. God the provider. Through Jesus, God has provided His creation the perfect air to breath, perfect water to drink, and a food chain with variety for every person. He has given us our perfect identity as male and female and our perfect ethnicity. To add to that, for those that receive God’s grace He embraces us as His own children so we know we are never alone. We are in a family. God provides all that we need.

But like the astronaut, many try to live outside the provision (atmosphere) of God. Some try to alter their mind, alter their gender, alter their belief system. Most folks spend their life striving to provide for themselves what God has already promised. Yet the promise alludes them. As a result their DNA or life identification mark is altered because they are trying to live outside of God’s provision. In a sense outside of the God given atmosphere of peace and joy. Within God’s atmosphere (provision) He has provided the plan and the way for a full life.

The Bible says, “God has given us all we need for life and godliness.” 2 Peter 1:3

So, Jesus invites you: “Come to Him and rest...learn of Him...and you will have rest for your soul”, it’s an incredible invitation. He will and is very able to be your provider. With one choice, you could be made into the very image of God, as God has intended and provided for by Jesus Himself. Your DNA supported by the Provider that created your identification mark. Ask Jesus, if this is true...make it real to me.
