“Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:14‬

The church is the representation of the kingdom of God to the world. In fact Jesus repeats himself by saying in John 17 that each true believer in Christ has become one with Him and Father God. This happens when the Holy Spirit indwells every true believer. The result is, in every believer is the character and nature of the living Lord. That character and nature includes the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We are in all gentleness and patience to be in unity putting aside all contentions and not ‘wrangle over words’ and things that undermine a united church.

Jesus, upon His ascension left the church with an ominous task. The task is so big it takes supernatural strength and unity in one Spirit to complete. The task is a matter of eternal life and eternal death. The task will take complete focus on one thing. The task is, making disciples of all nations, teaching them the person of Jesus.

The task is being, teaching, living Jesus to a world that is in the grip of the evil one.
