Hope has been one of the characteristics of God’s people since the time of Abraham. God made special promises to this patriarch, and confirmed them by two immutable methods:

A personal promise, and a divine oath.

By the same token those of us who have turned our backs to worldliness in order to follow Jesus, have become participants of God’s great promises and the same hope.

This hope we have in Him is a secure & firm anchor for our soul. We can depend on Him who doesn’t change or lie.
