Jesus Said, This is "the year of the Lord's favor" Luke 4:19

As we look at the day in which we live and see the reminders of the result of sin in our world our hearts can become heavy with despair. Weighed down. A sense of hopelessness can come over many from fear that, 'where can we go to be safe?'

Remember Jesus also said, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.” Matthew‬ ‭24:12‬ ‭

As you discern the days in which we live, the Lord is bringing to reality the depravity of evil contrasted to the light and life of people wholly given to Jesus. Light and darkness. Why?

This is the year of the favor of the Lord. How can people see, if there is no contrast? How can people hear if there is no one to tell of the goodness of God?

What do people need to see and hear? The kindness and goodness of the Savior Jesus Christ opposed to the darkness of evil and depravity.

Many will ask, ' Why does God allow this?' The answer to that question is clear, this is not the will of God that evil is in our world. This was a choice of the freewill of humanity. God's choice is the nature and character of Jesus. Love, joy, peace, kindness...

The question comes down to this, how will the confused hear unless someone tells? How will the fearful be set free? How will people know of this joy and peace in the midst of an angry murderous generation?

The Bible says it this way: “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent?” Romans‬ ‭10:14-15‬

If you are in a church that has a full Gospel message, then YOU are the answer to these questions. You can help them hear. You can help them believe. You are the preacher. Because you were put into this generation for such a time as this. Therefore, go and make disciples. Because this is the year of the Lords favor. Today is the day. To God be the glory.
