The foundation is only the start of a building. Buildings need to be completed or there is no place in the building to live. We must build to the fullness.
Our foundational teaching will guide us and keep us central, it is the foundation of the building, however, we need to go on to fully build the building or there is no shelter from the storm.
Jesus always focused on the purpose He was intended for...The Cross. Throughout His time here He spoke over and over again that "I will be handed over, mocked, beaten, killed, in the grave for three days and will rise from the dead."
The cross, was the focus. The cross meant redemption, the purchase of people so they may know God, know His purpose and live life to the fullest. No emptiness, no longings, no feeling of missing anything.
When you 'move on' with Jesus, your life is abundant. Full. Overflowing. The focus for every life that goes on with God is the cross. That is the place we lay down all our own thoughts and ideas of what makes for success, happiness and fulfillment, to take up what our creator, our redeemer KNOWS.
He knows how we are made, our beginning and end. He knows our hearts better than we do. And He knows the plans He has for us...to fulfill and give meaning abundantly. There is a way in. A way to begin to experience that life...Think on the Gospel of John 8:26-32.
By your patience you will win your life. (Luke 21:19)
Remember: the work of God is to know Jesus. (Jn. 6:29)
To God be the glory!
