All of us have dreams and plans for our lives. Plans to attain the dream that is in our heart. As kids we are taught by nursery rhymes, cartoons and major motion pictures to "follow our hearts". However, the majority of people that follow their hearts end up in heart break, disappointment, and unfulfilled. In the end, empty.
For example the recent drug overdoses by despondent rock superstars and entertainers following their hearts to a life of isolation and emptiness.
The Lover and Giver of our life, God whose name is Jesus comes in direct opposition to that self destructive cultural thought, and promises us: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11). Now since Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Since Jesus' nature is faithful (2 Tim.2:13). Since Jesus' nature is righteous (Jer. 23:6) and since Jesus cannot lie or change (Hebrews 6:18), there is assurance.
There is assurance that His plan will succeed. Why? Because He is faithful, what Jesus starts He finishes (Hebrews 12:2). You can be assured that the outcome of His plan will bless you because Jesus has your best interest in mind ( Ephesians 1:9). Lastly, He cannot lie or fail because those things are not found in Jesus' character and nature.
PRAY THIS... "God if this is true, Holy Spirit, help me to see it and Trust Jesus. Amen."
To God be the glory!
