“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Many say twenty-twenty vision is perfect vision. However, if the eyes of the mind (heart) has no direction the person is blind. The Bible says, “people perish” or “ have no restraint”. They are like a ship without a rudder, a plane with no tail, a person that is blind in there minds eye.
In the Bible, when God speaks to Habakkuk and Ezekiel He speaks of future events. How things will look in the near and far future. When God tells them, He closes His vision statement by saying, “Record the vision...that the one who reads it may run. "For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 NASB
Vision is the ability to see what is next. Then letting that vision drive all your decisions and choices.
Jesus shapes our thinking so our vision is clear. He says, “The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light...” Luke 11:34
This speaks of how to feed your mind so God can give you clarity of vision. Fill your mind with the light of Christ. In that environment of your mind (heart) God will reveal Himself.
What’s your vision for this new year? What are you looking at for this year?
Suggestion: We are appointed people. We are people of destiny. We are chosen to represent Jesus to the nations. Your next move has been appointed. Your future has been laid out for you. You have been chosen for a destiny of glory.
Jesus said, Ask...Seek...Knock, and He will tell, He will show you, He will open the eyes of your mind to know.
He will give you rest because He will reveal the vision to you. In the mean time, Read your Bible faithfully. Ask Holy Spirit to make it real. Do what Jesus says, you will see with twenty-twenty vision. Though it tarries, it will come.
