I'M BORED

How many times have you heard that? Boredom means you are disinterested or your feelings become excessive. For every Christian boredom is a symptom of lack of exercise. The exercise of your faith. When Peter walked on water all he could say is, ‘what a rush’. When Daniel shut the mouths of the lions there was no time to feel anything but adrenaline.

If church makes you bored you have a clear indication that you need to exercise. Get on a missions trip, go to Emmanuel Christian Church in Hackensack and feed people. Get on the pick up team and help pick up the food each week. Go pick up clothing donations at the elementary school. Raise funds for children’s school supplies. Be on the labor team for Project Mercy. Help design t-shirts. Go out on the street with the evangelism team and talk to downtrodden people.

But before you do anything, for one hour, do what Jesus said to do, ‘go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father in secret and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.’ He will reward you with two things, a fresh Word from His heart and strength to carry out your exercise. Now go...the miracle of ‘the rush’ will happen when you give yourself away.

Bored? Just move and Jesus will take you to the edge!
