And the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you...?” Numbers 22:25
The Lord is the Lord of all. He is able to use His creation as He chooses. On that day The Lord used a donkey to speak to a child of God who was being as stubborn as a mule. Balaam was insisting on helping the enemies of God gain victory over the children of God. He was not protecting God’s people, instead Balaam wanted recognition from the king of the enemy. He want a better position in life.
God protecting His own uses a donkey to speak.
True love, “...always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres.” ( 1 Cor. 13:7).
Love protects. The Word means, to cover from damage or hide from the rain. Christian, we are called to protect our church family in truth and honesty. Love protects and trusts.
Sometimes it takes a Word from someone you do not respect to say, “and you call yourself a Christian?” To awaken you to who you really are. When the donkey speaks, listen.
Beloved, Love one another.
