Two mass shootings in one weekend. An angry news media. American citizens telling their president to not come to their emotionally devastated communities to offer sympathy and condolence. Gun law rhetoric.

What is the answer to these complexities in our angry and violent society ?

The Bible gives a clear answer in that kindness, tender-heartedness, and forgiveness is the answer. Who can resist it?

We live among a violent, deceptive, sensual, greed driven society. Jesus lived among the same circumstance. Nothing has changed. People’s hearts in every generation are corrupt.

The only hope is heart transformation. Not surgery but transformation.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17 in the Bible it says: “ If any person be in Christ they are a new creature; the old things passed away; Behold all these things are new.” What ‘things’? The ‘things’ are love of Jesus that was shed abroad in the heart of that person that believed in Jesus Christ and what He did. He lived, He died for you, He rose from the dead to overcome death as you can, and lives forever as you can. He did this to demonstrate what Love looks like.

The ‘things’ are a heart that is kind, tender hearted, forgiving. Remember something about Love if we don’t have it, we have nothing. God is Love.
Therefore, Know Love, live out Love, think about Love, Teach Love...Jesus is Love. Who can resist love?
